The 2 StQ 5 P is a very low-weight antenna with uncompromised performance.
Designed and built for portable or basic installations where a very low weight is required.
Installation has been simplified to be very fast and easy.
In just 17 Kg you have two full size elements available.
The rhombic arrangement of the elements allows for a double vertical / horizontal polarization and decreases the influence of the ground: it is therefore possible to position it on lower tower.
The separate loop power supply allows you to transmit on two bands simultaneously (always using proper filters); In the case of Dx Expedition it is possible to have an optimal presence on the various bands but without having a large number of antennas installed.

The "Dx expedition kit" is useful when shipping an antenna with an aerial and reducing the installation time. The kit includes:
- split rods in 3 sections with a maximum length of 1.80 mt/5' 10"!
- split boom in 2 sections of 1.28 mt/4' 2"
- loop divided into 4 sections with end caps.
- fast loop connection to the rods via stainless steel pins.
With this kit the longer details will not exceed 1.80mt/5' 10", in case of air transport you will encounter less difficulty and shipping costs. The loops are divided into four sections, the longest being the one of 20 mt band with only 5.53 mt/18' 1"; This facilitates both transportation and assembly.
Constructive details.
Boom / mast connection:
The antenna connection plate is made of 8mm / 5/16 thick aluminum.
The boom is positioned in a milled aluminum housing, which gives great mechanical stability to the components.
2 Ubolt stainless steel 8 mm / 5/16 diameter, and its aluminum saddles are supplied; The saddles, with a proper tightening, reduce the possibility of rotating the antenna on the mast, under the push of the wind.
Boom and Link Elements.
The boom is tubular aluminum frame, 60x60 mm / 2"x2" side and 2mm / 5/64 thicktness. The boom is splited into two parts to facilitate transport, the junction is positioned inside the mast connection plate.
With numerical control machines, the boreholes are carried out in the holes where the VTR tubes are housed in diameter 19mm / 47/64 in length 50 cm / 1' 7"; The diagonals of the elements are fixed on these. This method eliminates the typical brackets of the quads and dramatically reduces mounting times and weight.
Rods in VTR and conductor.
The rods in VTR consist of two sections of diameter: (19 and 25 mm) / (47/64 and 31/32) outer, thickness (2 mm / 5/64) and (2.5 mm / 3/32) respectively. The diagonals are divided into two sections.
Aluminum braid conductor diameter 2.57 mm / 3/32 and section 4 mmq / 0.0062 in²
